Tanaka Daughter of Kathryn Janeway and Chakotay returns to the Nep'Til sector for Spring break.
Kathryn Janeway sat in her office on the planet, looking at the holographic image of her daughter Tanaka. She smiled as she noted the resemblance to her side of the family and Chakotay 's side of the family. She was looking forward to Tanaka's arrival, as boarding school paused for Summer vacation she'd prepared a list for the house keeper Na-Na a 40 something exclusive manager of the Janeway-Chakotay house, and then signed off and hit send to the home management computer screen. Rising from her desk stretching like a feline, then pouring a fresh brewed cup of coffee ☕️ black . She sipped the strong brew and picked up reports PADD, returning to her work.
Her daughter looked at her do that image and told her I don't know her daughter responded I'm glad to be here the academy has been keeping me busy I just wanted you to understand that I would like to make you proud with every choice I do she responded to her mother I will always make you proud.
Admiral Kathryn Janeway, smiled at her daughter Tanaka, she said putting her coffee cup down on the table. "You've arrived early, your Father will be so surprised. " She said to her daughter, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Are you hungry?" Kathryn ask her.
Tanaka, smiles back I am thank you mother where have you prepared she asked her in a happy tone of voice I know I came early but I wanted to surprise you I hope daddy is happy down here that I am here now.
Kathryn smiled her eyes bright with happy tears. "Ahh, just your room and some surprises. And, your Father will be here soon, unless the mission lasts longer." She walked with Tanaka and said, "are you hungry? How about lunch at The Sunliner Diner , burgers and shakes?"
Tanaka nods, sure Mom I can't eat she replied to her mother what about me getting that for the both of us my treat she said soft voice and going in the room thank you for the cake I appreciate that she continued.
Kathryn smiled at Tanaka, "Sure Sweets!" She said, then found a table for two by the large water falls with various plants 🪴. She looked around saw Tessa Creed, waved the Medical Officer was on break, large coffee and salad. Janeway watched Tanaka with pride in her heart.
So I just decided to stay the whole summer with you mother if you don't mind I'm not due back in school until the fall master semester I just want to spend time with you and Dad before I have to go back and I want to tell you that I apply today academy for next year I decided to go for the scientist major said happily as she took a bite of her food are you enjoying a coffee mother she asked.
" Tanaka, your Father will be here soon." Kathryn said to her daughter. She knew he should arrive soon.
Chakotay made his way through the docks, and picked up the package s at the arrivals desk. He was late, the trials for the new fighters had run later than expected, and he was late to meet Kathryn and Tanaka for dinner.

He stepped off the lift and walked through the doors of the Diner finding their table he grinned; Kathryn looked up, seeing her Husband she smiled and looked at Tanaka, "Your wish is granted little one, your Father is here."
"So, I think I need a Chocolate Shake, a Sunliner cheese burger and some spiced fries."
she smiled at him hey Dad how are you I'm just happy to see you it's been a while I hope you don't mind but I'm staying for summer vacation oh I hope that we get to spend time together she said. Chakotay smiled and dropped a kiss onto Tanaka 's hair. "I am very happy to hear that you are going to spend your holiday with us. I know your Boarding School isn't far away, but its always great to have my princess home." His crooked grin at his daughter and his careful holding of Kathryn 's hand on the table. He ordered a chocolate shake and a kale salad with avocado sauce. Watching their faces he smiled and listened.Renda M Carr She smiled at her father I made you mistake I hope you like it she said to him fine I hope it's to both of your liking she smiled.Lucie Elizabeth Alvarez, Chakotay's heart swelled with pride and love. His sweet Tanaka, who had her Mother's fair complexion and features, was back from her school, she had chosen to attend because of its curriculum. He smiled as he looked at the gift. "Tanaka, its wonderful, thank you sweetheart. " he said his dark eyes filling with un-shed tears. He touched her cheek softly. " left most packages at the house, but.... this one i brought here to the Diner." He pulled a small jewel box from his jacket inner pocket and placed it before Tanaka.
Tanaka she smiled ,thank you Dad I appreciate this so much she opened the box you beating a small necklace oh my goodness it's the diamond they wanted thank you she said smiling and hugging her father.Lucie Elizabeth Alvarez . "Your welcome sweetheart, here, let me put it on you." He took the 4 carat diamond solitaire necklace and holding the platinum chain around her gently, he then closed the lobster clasp. "There, " he said with a smile. Kathryn, took holo images and said, "Tanaka, you look lovely. " Chakotay sat down and sipped his shake, winking at Tanaka. Smiled at Kathryn.Renda M Carr she smiled looking a little bit embarrassed oh my God it's my birthday I forgot I forgot my own birthday she napped during the day but she started acting because happy and she started laughing because she forgot her own birthday. TheLucie Elizabeth Alvarez Kathryn chuckled. "You forget a Birthday? " she whispered, "More presents 🎁 later. Eat your burger young lady." To Chakotay she said, "you do spoil her you know." He leaned in and kissed her forehead gently, "Ofcourse, you know me. "
"Tanaka, where would you like to go for your Birthday?" He ask, watching her eat.Renda M Carr she smiled why don't we go to the beach and relax for a bit we all need it she said with a smile on her face.Lucie Elizabeth Alvarez , Chakotay raised his eyebrows, "the beach? " Kathryn chuckled, hummmmm , she pulled out a Vacation PaDd. "It seems your Father read your mind. Take a look see, the large villa on the cliffs."
Chakotay smiled. "Surprise, Princess!"Renda M Carr how beautiful she said I haven't been this since I was five or six she continued thank you.Renda M Carr she smiled at her parents this has been the best birthday ever thank you both very much I appreciate everything you have done for me she smiled very content I have a gift for both of you she pulled out a picture frame with a picture of all three of them from the past and bring the present do you like it she asked ask them.Lucie Elizabeth Alvarez. Tears welled up in Kathryn' eyes ohh ... it's wonderful, " she whispered as she and Chakotay looked at the frame and the canvas print family photo of the three of them. Chakotay nodded. "Beautiful, and so thoughtful Tanaka. "
They rose from the table, Kathryn hugging the frame in her arms. The trio made their way from the Diner to their villa and entered, in the grand music room a Steinway Grand Piano sat, Kathryn placed the photo atop it and looked at Chakotay and Tanaka, enjoying the fire.
